A Ukrainian drone strike reportedly targeted a Russian military unit in Belgorod Oblast, killing two Russian soldiers and injuring 11 more, according to Russian independent media outlet Astra, citing emergency services sources.

The strike allegedly took place overnight on June 20 in the village of Rogovatoye, located in the Stary Oskol district, at a military facility on Muravlyansky Drive.

According to Astra, drones operated by Ukraine’s Armed Forces attacked the Russian military site, resulting in multiple casualties.

On the morning of June 20, local authorities in Belgorod Oblast claimed that 12 districts had been attacked over the previous 24 hours. Officials said that in the Stary Oskol municipal area, near Rogovatoye, a building belonging to an agricultural enterprise had been damaged.

In May, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said his deputy had been injured in a separate Ukrainian drone strike.

Russia has not officially confirmed casualties from the reported June 20 attack.
