Ukrainian defenders repelled a Russian armored assault in the Novopavlivka direction, Khortytsia forces reported on April 25.
Russian infantry launched an assault supported by armored vehicles but failed to approach Ukrainian positions, Ukraine’s military said.
“The drone operators from the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after General Marko Bezruchko, effectively targeted each soldier,” Ukraine’s Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group said in a statement accompanying video footage of the strike.
The assault, the statement noted, ended in a “complete defeat” for Russian invaders.
In its April 24 update, the Khortytsia group also reported that Russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defensive lines near the villages of Kostiantynopol, Bahatyr, and Rozlyv in the Novopavlivka sector of eastern Donetsk Oblast.
All attacks were repelled, and Ukrainian forces continue to hold their ground, the military said.
