Russian forces destroy some Ukrainian positions near Kramatorsk and Toretsk
Russian assaults and artillery strikes have destroyed some Ukrainian defensive positions near Kramatorsk and Toretsk, according to the June 14 operational update from Ukraine’s Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group of Forces (OSGF).
Ukrainian forces are taking measures to prevent a deterioration of their tactical situation in the area, the military reported.
Russian troops launched assaults on Ukrainian fortifications near the settlements of Stupochky, Bila Hora, Diliivka, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, Krymske, and in the city of Toretsk.
The highest number of combat engagements was recorded along the Pokrovsk axis.
“Our soldiers are holding the line, destroying numerically superior enemy forces,” the OSGF said.
In other sectors, Russian forces continued to attack but failed to achieve any breakthroughs:
Kharkiv axis: Unsuccessful Russian assaults were launched toward Lyptsi.
Kupyansk axis: Russian attacks in the areas of Krasne Pershe and Petropavlivka were repelled.
Lyman axis: Defensive positions near Olhivka, Novyi Myr, Yampilivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and the Serebrianka Forest came under attack, but Ukrainian forces held firm.
Siversk axis: Russian attempts to push Ukrainian units out of the area near Hryhorivka were also unsuccessful.
“No positions were lost,” the military emphasized.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian defenders continued to repel Russian attacks near Burlatske, Rozlyv, and in the Zaporizhzhya area of Donetsk Oblast, along the Novopavlivka axis.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
