Ukrainian Rangers seize Russian troops, communications equipment and documents

Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF) captured two Russian soldiers and killed two others who resisted during an operation in an unspecified sector of the front, the SOF press service reported on Sept. 14.
Video released by the military shows a group of Ukrainian troops opening fire on Russian soldiers who resisted during the operation.
Two Russian troops were subsequently taken prisoner. Ukrainian forces also seized communications equipment and documents from the Russian soldiers, the SOF said.
The operation was carried out by a special operations group from the SOF’s 6th Ranger Regiment in one of its operational sectors.
On Aug. 17, operators from the 3rd Special Operations Regiment, working with one of the SOF’s psychological operations centers, liberated the village of Andriivka-Klevtsove in the Oleksandrivka sector.
Thirty Russian soldiers were taken prisoner during that operation.
On Aug. 15, SOF troops captured three Russian soldiers during another operation and also rescued a young deer, moving the animal out of the combat zone.
