EU delivers €1B to Ukraine from interest on frozen Russian assets
The European Union has transferred €1 billion ($1.08 billion) to Ukraine as part of the G7’s Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) initiative, which uses windfall profits generated from frozen Russian assets. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the funding after meeting with European Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis in Brussels on April 9.
