Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck critical infrastructure at the Russian-occupied commercial port of Mariupol, leaving the facility completely without power and disrupting its military use, the 1st Corps of the National Guard’s Azov unit reported on June 10.

The operation was carried out by fighters from the Azov Corps, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and the Unmanned Systems Forces.

According to the statement, the strike damaged electrical substations, radar equipment, repair infrastructure, a control tower, and fuel storage facilities. It also hit the sanctioned cargo vessel Lady Augusta, which Ukrainian forces described as part of Russia’s shadow fleet.

“The Mariupol commercial seaport is completely without power, and Russian military logistics have been significantly complicated,” the unit said.

The Unmanned Systems Forces said Russian occupation authorities had been using the port for military logistics and for the illegal export of Ukrainian grain, coal, and metal to Russia.

The strike is the latest in a broader Ukrainian campaign targeting Russian logistics infrastructure in occupied southern Ukraine.

On May 25, Azov reported intensifying attacks against Russian forces around Mariupol and near the Russian border in an effort to push enemy logistics farther from the front line. The unit released footage showing strikes on Russian targets along the Mariupol–Taganrog and Mariupol–Volnovakha highways.
