Russia attacks Ukraine with 9 missiles and 17 drones, air defense downs 12 UAVs - Air Force

The Russian army struck Mykolaiv Oblast with seven S-300/400 surface-to-air missiles from the temporarily occupied Crimea and launched two Kh-59 guided air missiles at Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts from the airspace over Kursk Oblast, Russia.
17 Shahed kamikaze drones were launched from its Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces's aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare (EW) units, and mobile fire teams repelled the attack.
Ukrainian air defense shot down 12 drones in Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, and Cherkasy oblasts.
Four Russian drones were "lost" as a result of EW operation, while one remains in Ukraine’s airspace, its elimination is ongoing.
Explosions rocked Mykolaiv earlier at night before the air raid alerts were issued.
Russian missile strike killed one woman, and injured 16 others. The strike damaged an infrastructure facility, a restaurant complex, market stalls, residential buildings, and vehicles.
