Russian drones hit Sumy apartment buildings, 17 injured, including a child

Among the injured is a 14-year-old child, as well as three men and 13 women of various ages. Twelve apartment buildings and one private house were damaged, along with a kindergarten and 10 passenger cars. Windows were also shattered at a local enterprise.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said Russia carried out two strikes on residential buildings. The first hit a high-rise building, destroying the roof and sparking a fire. Rescuers began dismantling hazardous structures.
The second strike hit another residential building, causing fires on the first and third floors. Residents were evacuated.
Russia struck Sumy with drones late in the evening on April 10. Regional authorities earlier reported 14 people were injured, most of them elderly.
