Since the mobilization reform came into force on May 18, 65,000 draft-eligible Ukrainian citizens abroad have updated their military registration, Defense Ministry announced on July 17.

The ministry’s spokesperson Dmytro Lazutkin provided the number in a comment to Ukrainian TV broadcasters.

“We indeed have these numbers: 65,000 Ukrainians abroad have updated their records over the past 60 days,” said Lazutkin.

“Leading countries include Poland, Germany, Czechia, and Canada. Overall, people around the world actively used the Reserve+ app for this purpose.”

He added that many Ukrainian citizens who are currently outside the country are willing to join the military.

July 16 is the deadline set by the mobilization reform law to update military registration, mandatory for all male citizens aged 18-60.
