"I thank each of you for your patience, will, and strength. Thank you for listening, speaking up, and fighting together. I value it deeply! Keep studying, resist, and move confidently toward victory," Vinnik wrote.
He added that since summer 2022, he had endured a "long and difficult path" with a "loyal and motivated team" by his side.
MP Maryana Bezuhla shared an order from Ukraine’s Ground Forces commander, dated Sept. 19, stating that Oleksandr Okhrimenko had been appointed as the new commander of the brigade.
Okhrimenko previously headed the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Staffing and Social Support.
On Sept. 20, the Northern Operational Command reported that Vinnik had been released from his command of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, which defends near Vuhledar in Donetsk, and would be appointed to a higher position.
MP Bezuhla criticized the decision, claiming it was made by Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and would reduce the brigade’s combat effectiveness. She also said the brigade's rotation was disrupted.
