Ukrainian Forces used strike drones to destroy a Russian multi-purpose Mi-8 and a Ka-52 attack helicopter at an airbase in Russia's Oryol Oblast, Militarnyi news outlet reported on Feb. 22, citing the Russian Spy Dossier Telegram channel.

The attack on the Pugachovka airfield, located near the village of Pugachovka, took place on the evening of Feb. 20.

Militarnyi noted that Pugachovka is a small dirt airfield belonging to the Oryol flying club of the Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Fleet (DOSAAF) of Russia.

The enemy likely uses this site as an operational airfield for a consolidated helicopter detachment specifically tasked with intercepting Ukrainian long-range UAVs.
