Russia attacks Rivne Oblast in heavy overnight strikes on Ukrainian cities

Russian forces attacked Rivne Oblast in a massive overnight strike against Ukraine, though air defense forces intercepted incoming targets without causing injuries or infrastructure damage, local governor Oleksandr Koval reported on July 30.

Preliminary reports indicate no civilian injuries.

Infrastructure facilities also remained undamaged.

"Enemy targets were shot down," Koval added.

Overnight on July 30, Russia executed a combined missile and drone assault across Ukraine.

Explosions were reported in Poltava, Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, and Lviv. Russia last carried out a mass attack on western oblasts in March.

In a village on the outskirts of Kryvyi Rih, a direct ballistic missile hit on a private home housing a large family killed six people, including three children and three adults. Eight others sustained injuries, including two boys aged 6 and 15.

In Lviv, two residential buildings on Patona and Vyhovskoho streets sustained the heaviest damage.

Missile strike on Lviv injured 26 people, with rescue operations ongoing.

Russian forces targeted Kyiv with ballistic missiles, killing one person and injuring two others.

In Kyiv Oblast, a private residential home was destroyed, leaving five people injured, including one child.
