Russia fires Kh-31P missile and 121 strike drones in overnight assault

As of 9:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defense neutralized 103 enemy uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) across the country's northern, southern, eastern, and central oblasts. The launched inventory comprised Shahed strike drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera units, Parodiya decoy drones, and S8000 Banderol munitions.

Military officials confirmed direct impacts across 15 separate locations, alongside falling wreckage from intercepted targets recorded in six areas.

The military cautioned that the aerial engagement remains active, with Russian UAVs continuing to loiter in domestic airspace.

Early on Sept. 4, Russian forces struck Odesa with drones, leaving one civilian dead and three others injured while inflicting damage on residential houses and civilian cars.

On Sept. 3, Russian drone struck a nine-story apartment building in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district, damaging several floors and igniting a fire that forced the evacuation of 25 residents. Drone debris also crashed in three capital districts, injuring six people, including a 12-year-old girl.

Kyiv is enduring its ninth consecutive day of sustained Russian jet-powered Shahed assaults. Air raid sirens sounded seven times across the capital on Sept. 3 alone, with additional structural damage to warehouses confirmed across Kyiv Oblast.
