Ukraine's air defense successfully eliminated all Russian drones targeting Kyiv overnight, leading to no casualties or damage, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported on Telegram on Sept. 12.
This marks the seventh attempted Shahed drones attack on the capital in September.
Air raid alarms sounded three times throughout the night, lasting a total of about two hours. The drones approached Kyiv multiple times from different directions, usually one at a time.
"None of the Moscow drones reached Kyiv," the statement read.
"Air defense forces shot them down at the outskirts!"
Air raid alerts were also issued in several other oblasts due to missiles and drones threats. Explosions were reported in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, and air defense operated in Kyiv Oblast.
The Russian forces struck the city of Konotop, Sumy Oblast, damaging infrastructure and injuring 13 people.
