Russia’s massive drone attack shows disdain for peace efforts, Zelenskyy says

The heaviest blow landed in Kropyvnytskyi, Kirovohrad Oblast, where ten people, including four children, were injured, and residential buildings, a church, and other infrastructure were damaged.

“Russian strikes on Ukraine do not stop, despite their propaganda claims,” said the head of state.

“Every day and every night, nearly a hundred or more drones are launched, along with ongoing missile attacks. With each such launch, the Russians expose to the world their true attitude towards peace.”

The Ukrainian president emphasized that even in the most difficult conditions, Ukrainians can count on the support and assistance of the State Emergency Service, police officers, doctors, and utilities.

"And all those who help to clear the rubble, extinguish fires, restore the destroyed, and most importantly, save and protect lives," Zelenskyy added.

The Ukrainian leader also thanked everyone who is helping to overcome the consequences of Russian terror.

Massive Shahed drone attack on Kropyvnytskyi on March 20

In the early hours of March 20, Russia massively attacked the city of Kropyvnytskyi with kamikaze drones. A number of districts came under attack. High-rise buildings and private homes were damaged in the city.

Kirovohrad Oblast governor Andriy Raykovych labeled it the city’s most massive attack of the full-scale war. 

Ukrainian Railways reported damage to rail infrastructure, forcing passenger train reroutes, though services resumed by morning.
