A drone attacked the premises of the Ahmat Kadyrov special purpose police regiment in Grozny, Russian Telegram channel ASTRA wrote early on Dec. 12.

A drone was allegedly shot down over the regiment's barracks at 12:55 a.m. MSK, Kremlin-appointed Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov claimed.

He reported "minor injuries" to four guards, asserting that the rest of the personnel allegedly stayed in shelters.

The attack caused damage to the roof and windows of the building, with a "small" fire that was quickly extinguished.

He blamed the attack on Ukraine’s Defense Forces and threatened to send his troops to the frontlines in Ukraine.

Overnight on Dec. 4, explosions were reported in Grozny, and a security alert was initiated at the local airport.

Later, Kadyrov admitted that drones had attacked the Special Purpose Police Regiment in Grozny and once again accused Ukraine.
