The intensity of fighting increased throughout the autumn.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, November saw 5,990 clashes over 30 days.
The most intense day was Nov. 28, when 311 engagements with Russian troops were recorded.
The Russian invasion army delivered more than 1,600 airstrikes during November. Russia conducted about 128,000 artillery barrages, including over 3,200 from multiple-launch rocket systems.
The General Staff reported 201 clashes over Dec. 2.
On Dec. 1, the DeepState monitoring project wrote that Russian invasion forces advanced on multiple front-line sectors in November. Overall, enemy troops seized 505 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory in the last month of autumn.
According to DeepState, the enemy achieved its greatest gains near Huliaypole in Zaporizhzhya Oblast — accounting for 40% of all front-line changes.
On Dec. 2, DeepState analysts noted that Russians occupied Kozatske and advanced in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk Oblast.
