Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Minister claimed that 25 Ukrainian UAVs were “destroyed” over the Black Sea and Crimea, with no mention of missiles. As per Russian practice, the Ministry did not specify whether any Ukrainian drones had reached their targets.
Sevastopol’s occupation head Razvozhayev further claimed that a lack of reported air raid sirens during the attack was due to fewer than twenty drones being used.
“The air raid siren is only triggered during a mass attack, when more than twenty UAVs are targeting the city and residents are at risk,” he said.
Earlier on Nov. 27, local residents reported multiple large explosions in the city, commenting on social media that Russian air defense systems were operating near the Saky and Belbek airfields. Russian media outlets also reported Ukrainian missile attacks, utilizing Neptune and Storm Shadow missiles, against Russian military facilities on the peninsula.
The monitoring channel Crimean Wind reported smoke rising above the Nakhimov Black Sea Naval Academy.
