Prague has officially notified the Council of Europe that it
will join the Enlarged Partial Agreement on the Management Committee of the Special
Tribunal to investigate Russian crimes of aggression, Ukraine’s Foreign
Minister Andriy Sybiha said on April 28.
With Prague’s decision, 23 countries have now signed on to the agreement, Sybiha said.
“On May 14-15th in Chisinău, Moldova, the agreement will be put to vote at the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers,” the minister said in a Twitter post.
“Those who unleashed war on our country and continue to wage it must know that justice for the crime of aggression against Ukraine is inevitable.”
Since April 14, France, Poland, Austria, and Finland joined
the agreement, putting the document comfortably over the threshold to trigger a
Council of Europe vote.
