The attack targeted the capital’s Darnytskyi district.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that debris from a downed Russian drone fell on a two-story house in the Darnytskyi district, damaging the structure and a fence. Emergency crews are currently working at the scene.
The attack began at 6:58 a.m. local time, with the all-clear sounding at 8:13 a.m.
Russian forces launched a separate attack overnight on October 12, targeting Kyiv with six ballistic missiles. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that an air raid alert could not be issued in time because the missiles were only detected while already in flight, with no advance notice of their launch.
One missile struck a four-story warehouse in the Desnianskyi district, while another hit a transport facility in the Dniprovskyi district.
A Russian drone also slammed into a 25-story apartment building in the Darnytskyi district, killing two people and wounding 11 others.
At least four people were killed in Russian attacks across the capital throughout the day. Debris rained down over the city’s Pecherskyi, Solomianskyi, and Darnytskyi districts, while power outages temporarily knocked out electric public transit in several areas.
