Ukrainian military successfully targeted 16 strategic and military assets across Russian territory within a single 24-hour period.
"In particular, there were long-range retaliatory strikes against oil facilities — the Russian 'wallet' financing this war. Strikes also hit airfields, a missile unit, and infrastructure constantly used to launch attacks against Ukraine," Zelenskyy stated.
Ukraine’s "long-range sanctions" struck a military enterprise and key Russian logistical hubs. Zelenskyy emphasized that the Defense Forces carried out the strikes as a direct response to Russian attacks.
AFU General Staff confirmed that the Defense Forces struck the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Kstovo, Russia, overnight on Aug. 26. Reports also confirmed a drone strike on a Wildberries logistics hub in the city of Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast.
Subsequently, Ukrainian military reported precision strikes against a Russian Kasta radar system, a military UAV training center, an equipment repair base, and several Russian military supply depots across the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
