Russian forces push forward in Kurakhove and other three villages in Donetsk Oblast — DeepStatе

The Russian forces made progress near Kruhliaivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

Analysts also updated the frontline near Novyi Komar in Donetsk Oblast.

Situation in Kurakhove

On Nov. 11, Russian forces destroyed the dam at the Kurakhivske Reservoir. The head of the Kurakhivska Military Administration, Roman Padun, reported that water levels were rising in villages along the Vovcha River.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggested that the Russian forces may have targeted the dam to cause significant and prolonged flooding west of the reservoir, aiming to aid their efforts to encircle Ukrainian forces north and south of Kurakhove.

On Nov. 15, DeepState reported that the Kurakhove direction remains one of the most challenging fronts, with 690 combat clashes occurring over two weeks there.

On Nov. 27, ISW reported that Russian forces had 43% of Kurakhove.

According to the Operational Tactical Group Khortytsia, only 625 residents remain in Kurakhove. ISW analysts believe that Russian forces are attempting to encircle Ukrainian troops east of the O0510 Kurakhove-Velyka Novosilka road to isolate Velyka Novosilka.

On Nov. 30, DeepState noted that the situation in and around Kurakhove continues to deteriorate.
