Debris from Ukrainian drones crashed into several industrial enterprises in Russia's Volgograd Oblast in a mass overnight attack, governor Andrey Bocharov wrote on Feb. 13.

Explosions were heard across Volgograd and the neighboring city of Volzhsky.

In one district, drone debris fell onto a parking lot next to a high-rise residential building. Eyewitnesses reported a large-scale fire at the scene.

This attack follows a strike just 24 hours earlier, as overnight on Feb. 12, a series of powerful explosions rocked Volgograd Oblast, with reports indicating a missile strike and fire at a military arsenal in the village of Kotluban.

Governor Bocharov claimed that local air defense "repelled a missile attack" but admitted that "falling debris caused a fire at a Defense Ministry facility near Kotluban."
