An underground ethyl alcohol production facility in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has been uncovered by the Economic Security Bureau (ESB), according to its Jan. 19 statement.
The plant produced more than 20 tons of ethyl alcohol per day, which was pumped through an underground pipeline about 1 kilometer long to an equipped alcohol storage facility. The products were sold throughout the Ukraine.
During the searches, 113 tons of illegal excise products were confiscated, along with equipment forming an integral complex covering all stages of alcohol production.

The organizer was charged with illegal production, storage and sale of excise goods under the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
