49-year-old driver was injured after his SUV exploded in Odesa's Peresyp District on July 28, the National Police press service announced.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. Preliminary reports established that the vehicle exploded immediately after the driver started the engine and began moving.
Investigative teams and police explosives experts are working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances surrounding the event.
On May 23, a Volkswagen car exploded on Universytetska Street in Odesa. Two individuals inside the vehicle were injured in the blast and received necessary medical assistance.
