Drone threat grounds flights at Moscow airport

Moscow's Domodedovo International Airport has temporarily suspended all flights in response to the threat of a drone attack,  Artem Korenyako, a spokesperson for the Russian Federal Aviation Agency, reported on Telegram on May 5.

Flight restrictions were implemented at 2:38 a.m. EET “to ensure the safety of civil aviation.”

Later that morning, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, claimed that four drones flying toward Moscow had been shot down over the city of Podolsk in the suburbs of the Russian capital.

No damage or casualties were reported.
