The first response took place at around 1 p.m. in Cașla-Vadanei, Tulcea County, where Defense Ministry bomb disposal experts examined two drone fragments found on a beach.
Specialists determined that neither contained an explosive charge.
Another response followed at around 3:18 p.m. in Pepiteasca, also in Tulcea County, where additional drone debris was found on a beach.
One fragment contained an explosive charge and was neutralized by a bomb disposal team from the Romanian Intelligence Service. Another fragment was handed over to the Coast Guard.
At around 4 p.m., a merchant vessel reported two pieces of drone debris floating in the Black Sea.
Both were recovered by a Coast Guard patrol boat. The Defense Ministry said neither posed an explosive hazard.
The final response took place at around 5:55 p.m. in the Edighiol-Periboina area of Constanța County.
Defense Ministry specialists believe the debris there came from four drones, including an interceptor drone that still contained an unexploded charge.
All of the fragments were safely neutralized.
On Sept. 10, the Romania Journal, citing the Defense Ministry, reported that bomb disposal experts had neutralized drone debris found by tourists the previous evening on a Black Sea beach near the village of Corbu.
