The aerial object was reportedly detected at 3:50 p.m. local time. It entered Moldovan airspace from the direction of the village of Lymanske in Ukraine's Odesa Oblast.
At 3:59 p.m., the object left Moldovan airspace and crossed back over the state border, following the same route — from Dnestrovsc back toward Lymanske.
"The unauthorized overflight of our country's airspace occurred as a result of today's Russian aerial attacks on Ukraine," the ministry said.
On Aug. 27, Moldova detected five drones in its airspace amid a Russian attack on Ukraine.
On Aug. 26, Moldova's Defense Ministry reported that a drone had violated the country's airspace during a Russian attack on Ukraine. That drone entered Moldovan airspace near the village of Palanca and later exited the country, crossing the border with Ukraine near Hradenytsi in Odesa Oblast.
