A fire broke out at the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai following an overnight drone attack, regional operational headquarters reported on June 11.

Local authorities claimed the ignition was caused by falling "drone debris."

Russian officials also reported that debris struck an apartment building in Krasnodar. Astra Telegram channel noted that a building in the city center was damaged. Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov stated that two people were injured.

Debris was also reported to have fallen on a residential area in the Seversky district, where Governor Veniamin Kondratyev claimed one person was injured.

The oil refinery in the Afipsky settlement has been repeatedly targeted by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. AFU General Staff earlier reported that the plant processes around 6.25 million tons of oil per year, accounting for 2.1% of Russia's total oil refining capacity.
