Dzerzhinsk in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Oblast came under drone attack for the second night in a row, causing damage at an industrial site, regional governor Gleb Nikitin wrote on Oct. 7.
He claimed Russian air defenses intercepted about 30 drones.
“Debris fell on the territory of one industrial facility, but no significant damage to industrial infrastructure was recorded,” Nikitin wrote.
The governor did not name the targeted enterprise. Earlier, he reported that air defenses repelled an attack by 20 drones in the city’s industrial zone.
On Oct. 6, Ukraine’s General Staff announced that Ukrainian defense forces had struck the Yakov Sverdlov plant in Dzerzhinsk as well as facilities at the Maritime Oil Terminal in the Russian-occupied city of Feodosia in Crimea.
