Sources indicated the Ilsky oil refinery came under fire. Videos circulating on social media purportedly show a fire on the enterprise's grounds.
Additionally, local residents reported that a fire broke out near the port of Taganrog. According to preliminary data, the blaze is consuming a port terminal belonging to Kurgannefteprodukt LLC (Yugtransitservis OJSC), which specializes in transshipping petroleum products from rail transport onto marine vessels.
Local residents reported that the attack on Taganrog lasted throughout the night. Russian authorities have not yet provided official confirmation regarding damage to the facility.
Ilsky refinery is one of the largest oil processing enterprises in Russia's Southern Federal District. Its design capacity is approximately 6.6 million tons of crude oil per year.
The enterprise produces naphtha, straight-run gasoline, fuel oil, and diesel fuel. The plant has repeatedly been the target of drone attacks, with the last strike recorded about a month ago.
In recent months, drones have regularly attacked Russian oil refining and logistics infrastructure.
