On the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Dylan Douglas, son of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, reflected on his visit to Kyiv in September 2024 in his Instagram post, published on Feb. 24.

He shared photos of destroyed Russian military equipment, a spontaneous memorial on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, and the aftermath of missile strikes.

"Never forget, never surrender, never capitulate," Dylan wrote.

"Three years of death and destruction. Will we let evil win? Glory to Ukraine!"

A journey to remember

In September 2024, Michael and Dylan Douglas traveled to Kyiv, where they explored the city and experienced Ukraine’s culture and resilience firsthand.

In their visit, they:

  • Dined at renowned Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko’s restaurant, where they tried borsch.
  • Visited the Museum of Ukraine’s History in World War II, witnessing exhibits on past and present conflicts.
  • Met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, discussing global support for Ukraine.

Michael Douglas also took the stage at the Forst Spouses' Summit, where he called for continued international backing of Ukraine.

For Dylan, the experience was deeply personal. He later described his time in Ukraine as "the adventure of a lifetime."
