A major
fire is devastating Russian electrical manufacturing plant Electroisolit
in Khotkovo, near Moscow, numerous Russian media reported on April 1.
Russian telegram channel Shot included footage of the blaze in their reporting on the incident.
“Preliminary reports suggest that one of the workshops [at the plant] is on fire, where machinery for cloth varnishing was produced,” the message said.
“Thirty-four people have been evacuated.”
Pro-Kremlin outlets claim the fire covers an area of about 3,000 square meters.
Electroisolit is Russia’s largest all-purpose electrotechnical manufacturing facility, specializing in electrical isolation systems.
