Emergency power outages have been implemented across Ukraine due to a Russian massive missile strike, Ukrenergo reported early on Feb. 11.

Ukrenergo highlighted that these restrictions will be lifted once the air raid alert ends and the energy system stabilizes.

The energy company DTEK confirmed emergency power cuts in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk oblasts.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Energy Minister, Herman Halushchenko, said that Russia launched another wave of attacks against Ukraine’s energy system.

"Overnight, the enemy targeted gas infrastructure, and by morning, the energy sector remains under attack," Halushchenko explained.

"To minimize the potential consequences for the power grid, the transmission system operator is urgently applying emergency electricity restrictions."

On Feb. 11, air raid alerts sounded in multiple Ukrainian oblasts as Russia launched a combined missile and drone attack. Explosions were reported in Poltava.
