SBU intercepts explosive device disguised inside fast-food meal at Chernihiv checkpoint

SBU, in coordination with the National Police and the Prosecutor's Office, apprehended the individual attempting to hand the soldiers a McDonald's package. An explosive device was disguised underneath a burger inside the bag.
"Security Service investigators, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, are currently conducting the necessary procedural measures. The issue of serving the detainee with a notice of suspicion is being resolved. Further details will be announced later," SBU Chernihiv Oblast Office stated.
On July 21, the Security Service of Ukraine announced that its counterintelligence unit prevented a double terrorist attack by Russian special services in the courtyard of a residential complex in central Ivano-Frankivsk. According to counterintelligence, the first explosion was meant to occur via remote activation of an improvised bomb in a parking lot, with the second detonation planned after emergency services arrived at the scene.
On July 22, SBU detained an alleged Russian agent suspected of planning a terrorist attack in central Mykolaiv. According to the investigation, the man planned to plant an explosive device inside a service member's vehicle.
