According to Fedorov, changes to procurement procedures and the introduction of competitive purchasing mechanisms have helped improve the quality of drones and transform the way weapons are supplied, enabling Ukraine to create a new battlefield reality in favor of its Defense Forces.
"As previous years have shown, the Russians adapt and try to regain the initiative. Right now, we have a window of opportunity, and over the next six months we will have an advantage on the battlefield," Fedorov said.
On June 12, Bloomberg reported that artificial intelligence-powered drones had given Ukraine a new advantage in the war launched by Russia. Ukrainian commanders, the report said, have focused on upgrading medium-range strike drones.
According to Bloomberg, the latest models are more resistant to electronic jamming and feature autonomous guidance systems, allowing them to strike fuel depots, ammunition arsenals and command posts up to 150 kilometers (93 miles) from the front line.
