Fighting escalates in Pokrovsk as Russian infantry breaks into city's northern parts

The analysts highlighted that access to Pokrovsk has become severely restricted due to extensive remote mining by Russian forces. Areas cleared by Ukrainian troops are quickly re-mined, limiting maneuverability.

DeepState wrote that Russian troops continue attempts to enter the village of Hryshyne, west of Pokrovsk, noting that increased Russian drone activity has shifted focus away from the city itself, allowing the enemy to exploit the situation.

The analysts added that Ukrainian forces recently made several attempts to move personnel into the area using armored vehicles, but the efforts failed as the vehicles were destroyed and troops were wounded.

Russian forces have also increased the use of guided aerial bombs against Ukrainian positions, DeepState reported.

Commenting on the Myrnohrad sector, the analysts said Russian troops are concentrating soldiers at farms in the northern part of the city and are using civilian buildings, including a church, in violation of international humanitarian law.

Chaotic fighting continues in northern Myrnohrad, where remnants of Ukrainian units remain. DeepState wrote there are no plans for their withdrawal, despite warnings that Pokrovsk is close to falling under Russian control.

The analysts also flagged growing pressure on the nearby town of Rodynske, which they described as a key remaining route for potential withdrawal from Myrnohrad. Russian forces are reportedly conducting small-group infantry raids west of the town in an effort to identify Ukrainian drone operators.

“Final battles for Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad are underway,” DeepState concluded.
