Fighting underway as Russian invaders come closer to Severodonetsk, says Luhansk governor

The town of Severodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast is under constant enemy fire as the Russian invasion force has come closer to it, Luhansk Governor Serhiy Hayday reported on Telegram messenger on May 25.

"The Russians have come closer to Severodonetsk, they can already fire on it with mortars," he said.

"The town is under constant enemy fire. The Russians are hitting places where people are likely to hide. The territory of the Azot chemical plant is constantly under attack."

According to Hayday, fighting is now going on in the outskirts of the town.
