Finland has announced its 28th aid package for Ukraine, worth €200 million ($271 mln), and includes artillery ammunition, the country's Defense Ministry reported on March 13.

This move highlights Finland’s ongoing support for Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression and efforts to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

This agreement comed after the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding between their defense ministries at a meeting between Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

The total value of country's military support for Ukraine therefore increased to $3.5 billion.

The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in information exchange, research and innovation, ammunition production, and defense industry projects in Finland and Ukraine.

For security reasons, the Finnish Ministry of Defense did not disclose the full content of the military aid package. However, it confirmed that artillery shells, which are urgently needed by Ukraine, will be included.
