Explosions spark fire at Russia's Borisoglebsk air base in Voronezh Oblast – OSINT analysis

Newly analyzed eyewitness footage shows a major blaze at the Borisoglebsk military air base.

Experts noted that this military air base, located in Voronezh Oblast, is actively used by the Russian Air Force. 

OSINT analysts determined that the air base houses Su-34, Su-35S, and Su-30SM jets, among other aircraft.

The air base also serves as a training and military facility for the Attack and Bomber Aviation Faculty of the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots.

It is a key aviation training center for the Russian Aerospace Forces, where attack and frontline bomber pilots are trained.

Drones attacked the Russian cities of Saratov and Borisoglebsk, triggering a fire near an oil refinery in Saratov and another blaze in Borisoglebsk overnight on July 8.
