Russian drone attack sparks fires, kills one in Odesa

The Russian forces attacked the city of Odesa, resulting in one fatality there, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) reported and shared a footage of the attack aftermath on July 7.

The Russian attack damaged 10 garage structures, an administrative building on the premises of a car service station, and several construction trailers.

In addition, multiple vehicles — including passenger cars, trucks, and a bus — were destroyed.

“Fires broke out and were extinguished by emergency services,” SES wrote.

Odesa Regional Administration confirmed that Russia used drones in the attack.

“There is damage and destruction of civilian infrastructure in the city, including a car service station and private vehicles," regional governor Oleh Kiper wrote.

"The strike also caused a fire at a security post near a new construction site. Unfortunately, a security guard was killed there.”

Last night, Russia attacked Kyiv and Kharkiv. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the number of injured has risen to 27.
