Rescuers show damage at Nova Poshta terminal near Kharkiv — photo report

A large-scale fire broke out after a Russian strike hit a Nova Poshta terminal in Kharkiv suburbs, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service wrote and released photos showing the attack aftermath on Jan. 13.

Preliminary information indicated four people killed and six injured.

The strike caused severe damage to terminal buildings and sparked several fires covering a total area of about 500 square meters.

Rescuers evacuated 30 people, two of whom were pulled from under the rubble of a collapsed building.

Emergency response operations and firefighting efforts are ongoing. State Emergency Service units continue working at the site despite the threat of repeated Russian strikes.

On the night of Jan. 13, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones and ballistic missiles. Kharkiv’s suburbs, Odesa, Kyiv, and Kyiv Oblast were among the targets.

RBK-Ukraine and ZN.ua, citing social media reports, said that Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel in Kyiv Oblast were almost completely left without electricity after the explosions. Water supply disruptions were also reported.
