U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Gen. Keith Kellogg, is set to arrive in Ukraine on Feb. 19, traveling by morning train from Poland, Kellogg told reporters in Brussels on Feb. 17.

His visit will last three days, although the exact itinerary is still being finalized. Before leaving for Kyiv, the general will visit Warsaw on Feb. 18.

“I am taking the train tomorrow evening; I will be there [in Kyiv] on Wednesday morning,” Interfax-Ukraine news agency quoted Kellogg.

It remains unclear if Kellogg will visit the front lines, as has been reportedly suggested by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“The trip is still being finalized, meaning if I am going, the answer is yes,” he clarified.

“Will I have the opportunity to meet President Zelenskyy? The answer is yes. I will be there for three days, and this is not my first time in Ukraine.”

He added that he recently saw Zelenskyy at the Munich Security Conference and suggested that on the first day of his stay in Kyiv, the president might not be in the city, "so we might have some events on the ground."

"But as of now, while we're talking, the agenda is still being settled," Kellogg stated.
