Wave of drones struck Kryvyi Rih overnight as Russia continues daily terror against Ukrainian infrastructure, especially the energy sector, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his night address on Oct. 17.
Another wave of drones hit Kryvyi Rih overnight, and dozens more attack drones and missiles struck other oblasts.
“Effectively, there has not been a night in weeks without Russian strikes on Ukraine," Zelenskyy said.
"Most of the targets are infrastructure. It’s a systematic terror campaign against our energy sector.”
He stressed that Russia is trying to turn the Ukrainian part of Europe into “an island of danger and humiliation of people’s lives,” and said that must not be allowed.
On the night of Oct. 17, Kryvyi Rih came under a heavy Shahed drone attack. Head of the City Defense Council Oleksandr Vilkul reported “more than 10 explosions and more than 10 Shaheds over the city,” and that air defenses operated over the city.
