The facility in Kyzyl-Yul stores ready-to-use Shahed drones and imported components for them, the service said. These attacks showcase Ukraine’s growing effort to use long-range drones to disrupt Russia’s military logistics.
Videos posted by local residents showed fires burning inside the warehouse buildings, the SBU noted.
The same site was attacked on Aug. 9, when satellite images obtained by NV indicated at least two impacts on the depot.
“The renewed strike aims to reduce Russia’s capability to launch Shahed attacks against Ukraine,” the SBU said, adding that operations against facilities supplying Russia’s war machine will continue.
Earlier the same day, the Russian Telegram channel Astra reported explosions in Tatarstan, with blasts heard in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Yelabuga, and Naberezhnye Chelny.
