In Kyiv’s Pecherskyi district, a Russian drone strike partially destroyed the 4th to 6th floors of a residential building, sparking a fire on the 4th and 5th floors that covered about 70 square meters, according to the State Emergency Service.
A woman was rescued, and the fire has been localized, though efforts to fully extinguish it continue.
Another fire broke out on the roof of a nearby non-residential building and is being contained.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, garages were damaged, and a fire engulfed 20 square meters.
During the New Year's Eve attack, air raid alerts were declared across several oblasts as Russian forces launched mortars and missiles at Ukraine.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that four people were injured in the strikes, two of whom required hospitalization, with most injuries occurring in the Pecherskyi district.
