Overnight, Russia launched a massive ballistic missile strike against Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast for the third time in the past week, triggering powerful explosions. In the capital's Holosiivskyi district, a missile strike on non-residential structures caused an ammonia leak. Warehouses and other non-residential buildings caught fire in other municipal districts. Due to the large-scale blazes, heavy smoke and deteriorating air quality were recorded across the capital.
In Kyiv Oblast, the Russian attack killed 14 people and injured 22. Large-scale fires broke out at warehouses, logistics centers, and commercial enterprises in the Brovary, Bucha, and Fastiv districts.
Ukrzaliznytsia reported civilian fatalities at a railway platform in Brovary, with several train routes altered following the overnight bombardment.
