The cats will be waiting for their new "pet parents" at the adoption event in the capital's shopping mall. Around a dozen shelters are taking part, bringing vaccinated, microchipped, and treated cats ready to be adopted into loving homes — for free.
The organizers, Hostomel Shelter and Pethouse, have prepared veterinary consultations and adaptation tips for new pet owners, as well as starter kits with food, a bed, toys, and other partner gifts.
All registered guests will have a chance to win a pet box filled with treats and toys. Those not ready to adopt can still support the shelters through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word.
In just a year and a half, the festival has helped more than 1,400 animals find their homes.
Entry to the festival is free.
