Kyiv schools switch to remote learning after Russian strikes

“New kindergartens and schools have been hit,” Fidanian said. “Staff have already begun cleaning up. Some institutions will switch to remote learning.”

She added that a number of educational facilities would temporarily function as “Points of Invincibility” — designated centers providing heating, electricity, and shelter during blackouts or emergencies.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Energy Ministry reported that Russia carried out another large-scale nighttime attack on the country’s energy infrastructure using missiles and drones.

In Kyiv, four districts were hit, with residential buildings damaged, two people killed, and 19 injured.

In Kyiv Oblast, four more people — including a baby, a 12-year-old girl, and their mother — were killed in the strikes.

In Zaporizhzhya, 2,000 residents were left without power after a nighttime attack that caused a fire in a high-rise building, injuring 13.

In Poltava Oblast, oil and gas facilities were damaged, while in Odesa Oblast, a DTEK energy facility was struck. Emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv and most other regions of Ukraine.
