This year’s Kyiv Security Forum, taking place May 8–9, will be held against the backdrop of Ukraine’s ongoing defense against Russian aggression and timed to two symbolic anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of the Allied victory in World War II and the 40th anniversary of Europe Day as an official holiday of the European Union.
Organizers say the dates take on heightened importance in light of current global threats and Ukraine’s struggle for sovereignty.
Key questions to be addressed at the forum include:
How can Russian aggression be stopped?
What does a just peace for Ukraine and the world look like?
And how can a third world war be prevented?
The two-day event will feature high-level discussions with senior government officials, military leaders, intelligence community members, international security experts, diplomats, and public intellectuals from Ukraine and abroad.
A live broadcast of the forum will begin May 8 at 10:00 a.m. and will be available via the NV.ua website and platforms associated with the Kyiv Security Forum and Open Ukraine Foundation, including Facebook and YouTube channels of the forum and its founder, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
